On Wednesday, the company's top executive a key figure updated staff about this organizational change through an internal memo, which emphasized that early feedback sessions had indicated the need for a clearer game identity.

Below is the entire text from Ismailer's memo:
Dear Team—
I understand you all just completed your gathering - I hope you’re as enthusiastic as I am with the recent updates. Previously I shared you all a update, I mentioned the following: “I believe in this crew. You all are some of the most dedicated and creative designers we have had the opportunity to work with - and we’re looking forward for that partnership to endure.”
Through your commitment and flexibility, especially over the last year, you consistently demonstrate that.
The player input from last fall’s Project ETHOS demo was enlightening. It affirmed the promise of a roguelike shooter but told us we still had refinements needed. It uncovered the need for a more distinct identity.
The progress is encouraging to see how far you’ve come. You embraced the input to heart and overhauled the title with a renewed direction - one that’s ready to achieve its ambition to our players.
Our confidence in this project increases every day. To further the outstanding development you’ve made, It is a pleasure to welcome the new hire as the latest Director of the team. After several months of talks, he starts with us on the specified date.
Ben’s leadership and experience in the PVP shooter field is vast, having devoted the last 15 years developing and managing some of the most recognizable titles in gaming, such as the acclaimed shooter, and most recently, Apex Legends.
I invite you all in receiving Ben in the coming days. We are all eager to persist observing the evolution of the game in the weeks to come.
David
