Two more people are now in custody related to a theft at London's Heathrow Airport in which 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, according to police.

A 24-year-old man, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained for suspected conspiring to commit a robbery. Both individuals remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow an investigation into an attack at the multi-level parking garage at Heathrow's Terminal 3 this past Sunday. Before the attack, a pair of female travelers were robbed of their luggage upon exiting a car park lift.

A three-year-old girl was among the injured during the incident. Five people were taken to the hospital for medical care and have since been discharged.

Police detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He has since been released pending further inquiries as the investigation proceeds.

Authorities were alerted at about 08:10 GMT after reports came in regarding several people hurt by an irritating chemical believed to be an irritant spray.

The attack - an event that police said was isolated and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the main airport tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
